About Journeyman's Food + Drink
Here at Journeyman's, Chef Zach is pushing the boundaries of what Orange County expects from a fine dining destination. His love for nature and art mixed with an abstract expression of everyday fantasies is what makes his cuisine unique. At Journeyman's, you will have a meal that blends the familiar with the exotic. Using both classical and modern cooking techniques, chef Zach and his team are able to come up with a whimsical interpretations of well known dishes and also take a thoughtful approach to flavor combinations that most people would never pair. Chef Zach is always looking towards the future and it is evident in the meal a guest will experience. No two meals that you have will ever be the same, and that to him is beautiful.
Journeyman's Food + Drink is our Progressive American, Prix-Fixe style restaurant. We offer our dinner menu in a 4-course format at $75 per person with the option to add wine pairings at $50 per person. We encourage you to order a drink from extensive beverage menu, thoughtfully curated by our beverage specialist Steven and our chef Zach Geerson.

Meet Our Chef
Starting as a dishwasher at the age of 19, Chef Zach has worked his way forward in the culinary industry. A transplant from Fort Myers, Florida, Chef Zach has taken on the work of challenging Orange County's expectations when it comes to fine dining. His experience comes from who he considers his mentors, Harold Balink, now of Harold's in Fort Myers, and Gianni Scappin, a well respected culinary instructor at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park (where Geerson graduated from in 2013 and worked as a teaching assistant for one year) and owner of several establishments in towns surrounding the school. Always pushing to be better, you can find Geerson constantly updating the menus at Journeyman's. While not all the menu changes, you can expect for dishes to constantly be tweaked while they exist on the day's current menu. Geerson, before he is even 30 years old, has won numerous accolades for the restaurant Journeyman's including: Top 10 Best New Restaurants in the US-Gayot & Restaurant of the Year 2019-Orange Coast Magazine and also the top score of 4-Stars in the Orange Coast Dining Guide (a rating that is held by only two other restaurants in OC). Excited for what lies ahead, it is safe to say that Chef Zach is slowly becoming a staple in Orange County.
